“THE DEFAMATION EXPERIENCE was an opportunity for students to reflect on their own personal yet unintentional biases that they have on race, gender and class. Although openly talked about their biases openly and honestly. DEFAMATION was able to walk students through how these biases can affect how decisions and how open dialogue can create a culture of empathy, understanding and eventually unity. THE DEFAMATION EXPERIENCE is certainly an experience for all people to dig deep and move beyond the surface level of multicultural, social justice, and diversity issues.”
